Pulp therapy in primary teeth

As pediatric dentists’ our primary goal is to perform treatment in a child efficiently and effectively, so that the child does not develop fear towards dentistry. One of the most common reasons for a child’s visit to dental operatory is toothache. As clinicians we need to diagnose the cause of pain so that the appropriate treatment can be given to the child.

  2. Various pulp therapy modalities for primary teeth.
  3. Materials used in pulp therapy in primary teeth.
  4. Techniques of performing pulp therapy.
  5. Decision making for pulp therapy.
  6. Critical steps in various procedures.

Dr. Eswara Uma, has been the Professor and Head, Department of Pediatric dentistry in Faculty of dentistry, MMMC since 2013.

She is an alumnus of the Government Dental College (Hyderabad, India) from where she graduated. She did her masters in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from the prestigious Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (Chandigarh, India). She is a fellow of foundation in advancement of International medical education and research (FAIMER) CMC Ludhiana.

In her career spanning over twenty years as a pediatric dentist, she has been involved in undergraduate as well as post graduate teaching. She has been a guide for postgraduate students as well.

Dr. Uma also has extensive clinical experience across India and the UAE in hospital-based dentistry for infants and children, and particularly for children with special health care needs.
